Customer Experience Leader - Mitre 10 MEGA Silverdale [New Zealand]

We are looking for a dynamic leader who can ensure our team members and specialists want to deliver exceptional service to Every Customer Every Time.

Reporting directly to the Customer Experience Manager you will be a key member of the store leadership team in a department where customers want to be inspired and enlist the expertise of our team in their purchase. This will involve leading, training and inspiring our team our Showrooms (Bathrooms and Kitchens) and Seasonal (BBQ, Heating/Cooling and Outdoor Furniture) Departments to bring the world renowned Mitre 10 service to our new store in the Silverdale area. If you have had the previous job title of Retail Leader, Zone Leader, Department Leader, Team Leader etc. we want to hear from you.


Our ideal applicant:

  • Minimum 2-3 years previous experience leading a team in a retail environment; big box retail experience would be advantageous.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills
  • Decision making capability in a deadline driven environment
  • Strong multi-tasking ability
  • Ability to pro-actively work on own initiative

Mitre 10 Silverdale intends to not only be a world-class retail store, but it will be a full-range store with over 40,000 items of stock available, with electronic pricing as well charging ports available for EV vehicles. The range would include everything you need from your workshop supplies to homeware.

We're known for having deep roots in the community and supports a variety of schools, clubs, charities, and not-for-profit organizations. The Silverdale store will be an integral part of the community and consistently on the lookout for schools, clubs, and charities to support and add value for.
